Shalom! Karen Susman joined the TBTST family in December 2021. She comes to us with over 30 years’ experience in Jewish Education. Karen began her career as a Youth Director, and eventually went back to school and was trained as a Director of Education, Early Childhood Director and with Special Needs Children. She has worked in many Synagogues in the State of Florida, and the Los Angeles area. During her career she led 7 Teen Tours to Israel, led 3 Congregational Trips to Israel, and worked with the German Government in writing the curriculum for and leading 2 German/Jewish Exchange Programs for teens.
Karen brings her love of experiential Jewish Education focusing with hands on learning, and her passion for Israel to our Synagogue. She loves to teach children and adults of all ages to read Hebrew, chant the prayers, and read from the Torah. Please drop in and meet her.
